Tanmay Devale

Greetings! I am an undergraduate student at the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems in the K K Birla Goa Campus of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS Pilani).
I've been a merit scholar for every semester so far in the institute. Learning is in my lifestyle and developing self energizes me. Ranking 3rd in the institute.
Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning are the topics that stimulate my curiosity. My interest in Data Science was fueled by the knowledge I gained while pursuing a minor in Data Science.
I'm seeking to explore non-traditional interdisciplinary machine and deep learning applications using a range of concepts learned over time.
I love to teach and travel.

Peer Mentorship Program Coordinator

As a position of responsibility, I was appointed as the Peer Mentorship Program Coordinator for the year 2021-22. It has learned a great deal about time management and setting and achieving realistic goals by allowing me to do everything from conducting interviews for a new batch of mentors to assisting with the orientation of incoming first-year students to holding talks with a well thought out list of guest speakers from various departments and domains. While doing so, I recognized the need to meticulously record all of the details for future reference and maintain detailed performance records based on predetermined criteria. My motivation for taking on this role stemmed from the fact that the transition for the incoming class should be as seamless as it had been in the pre-COVID times and that they should be exposed to all the opportunities the institute has to offer.
